The SCCCI offers three types of membership: Trade Association Membership, Corporate Membership and Associate Individual Membership. (Please click on different types of membership for further information.)

1. Trade Association Membership
This membership type is open to trade associations registered in Singapore.  Each Trade Association Member needs to appoint a member of its management committee who is an ethnic Chinese Singaporean or permanent resident to be its representative in the SCCCI.

2. Corporate Membership
A Corporate Member must be a Singapore-registered company or professional firm.  This membership type is grouped into two sub-categories: Ordinary Corporate and Associate Corporate Membership.

2.1. Ordinary Corporate Membership
The majority of the shareholders in the company/firm must be Chinese Singaporean(s) or permanent resident(s).  Its appointed representative must be an ethnic Chinese Singaporean or a permanent resident who is the owner, shareholder, a member of the board of management or a senior management personnel of the company/firm.  This membership type is further grouped into Life Corporate Member and Annual Corporate Member, depending on the choice of the members.

2.2. Associate Corporate Membership
If the company/firm does not fulfill the Ordinary Corporate Membership criteria, it may opt for Associate Corporate Membership.  Associate Corporate Members do not have the right to vote or to be voted under the SCCCI Constitution but they will enjoy all other membership benefits accorded to Ordinary Members.  Each Associate Corporate Member has to appoint one of its officials who is an ethnic Chinese to be the representative in the SCCCI.

3. Associate Individual Membership
This membership type is open to ethnic Chinese professionals who are above 21 years of age and residing in Singapore.  Associate Individual Members do not have the right to vote or to be voted under the SCCCI Constitution.  They will, however, enjoy all other membership benefits accorded to Ordinary Members.

Testimony from SCCCI Members

SCCCI is a high profile institution that organises a lot of events and seminars.  It is also very pro-active in wanting to constantly change itself and to upgrade its image through strategic planning.  In my short experiences with SCCCI, the institution comes across as a very sincere organisation in wanting to contribute to the needs of the local business community.

 - Ms Janet Ang, Managing Director, IBM

SCCCI has a strong business network abroad and is well regarded in this region.  We will have more opportunities after joining the Chamber.

                   - Mr Tan Soon Heng, General Manager, NTUC Income
