The General Secretarial of the Istanbul Mineral and Metals Exporters’ Association will be organising the Turkish Buying Mission Programme in Istanbul from 22-26 September 2010, in conjunction with the 21st Zuchex International Housewares & Gift Fair, the world’s 4th largest housewares marketplace.
Objective
This Buying Mission Programme is an initiative of the Turkish Government to attract overseas buyers to Turkey as well as those seeking beneficial joint-ventures, and to introduce potential importers to producers and exporters of various high quality goods and technologies available in Turkey.
Highlights
Participants will get to:
1. Participate in Zuchex International Housewares & Gift Fair which is expected to have over 550 exhibitors from over 15 countries, 45,000 professional attendees and international buyers from 74 countries. For more information, please visit: http://www.zuchex.com/zuchex_eng.aspx.
2. Attend a briefing on the economic and commercial opportunities and potential of Turkey in general and on houseware, giftware and electrical appliance sector.
3. Visit factories facilities of Turkish manufacturers.
4. Immerse themselves in the Turkish culture with a tour exploring the vibrant city of Istanbul.
Programme
22 September 2010 (Wed) - Arrival to Istanbul
23 September 2010 (Thurs) - Bilateral meetings with the Turkish companies
24 September 2010 (Fri) - Visit to the Fair
25 September 2010 (Sat) - Visit to the Fair/ Visit to the Facility/ City Tour
26 September 2010 (Sun) - Departure from Istanbul
* The accommodation expenses at a 4 or 5- star hotel (including breakfast) of the participants will be paid for by the Turkish Government. Participants will only need to pay for their airfare. Participating companies representatives should have authority to enter into contract negotiations. (Subject to approval by the Turkish Government.)
Invitation
All companies who are interested in importing various Turkish goods or seeking beneficial joint ventures are invited to this programme. However, it is required that the participating company representatives should have the authority to enter into contract negotiations.
